COMING UP IN AUGUST…..

SNEAK PREVIEW—LATE SUMMER MUSIC!

We’ve got some great entertainment plans for later this summer. Dates TBA, but we’re cooking up a “Seven Summer Saturdays” series of Music and Mezze for late August-September, so stay posted. Think of it as a one-stop-shop night out. Get an intimate musical show with music to match—stay tuned for a night of Greek music with traditional mezze and special wine and drinks, a night of Spanish music with Tapas, you get the picture!

AUGUST: “A MONTH OF SUNDAYS” BRUNCHES

Chef Jim’s got something cooking as well. He does the themed brunch thing as you know—but his August brunches will be extra theme-y, each dedicated to some of his most favoritest Geek disciplines. So far we’ve got a brunch dedicated to Comics featuring some of our local Comic Store pals, Video Games starring some vintage systems to try your hand on—Hey--anyone up for a rousing game of “Smurf Rescue” on ColecoVision?

AUGUST: ONE MORE BIT OF BIG AUGUST NEWS—VACATION TIME!

We’re going to do some exciting things this coming month but business-wise, August is not so strong a month, so we’re going to take advantage of that and give ourselves a little extra break by closing for Tuesday Dinner. We’ll still be here for lunch of course, so no worries, faithful lunch crowd! We’ll return to Tuesday evening service after Labor Day and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday nights when we reopen for them in September

PS—As you know, Gypsy is closed entirely on Mondays. Monday evenings, we often do special events for social and community groups. If you’ve got an evening event you’d like to host in August, Tuesdays will be open too! WEDNESDAYS in AUGUST

Gypsy Cafe welcomes The Gypsy Strings to entertain you through dinner.
 
The Gypsy Strings are world-class musicians playing European Dinner music and Tambura music starting at 8PM.
 
Traditional to cafe-style performances in Europe, the musicians stroll table to table and take requests. It is customary to tip the musicians, especially for playing requested songs.
 
Dinner reservations for The Gypsy Strings are accepted starting at 8PM and are highly recommended to guarantee you a seat. You will NOT be seated before 8PM. Our kitchen closes at 11PM.
 
We offer the event for our Dinner guests. $10 cover waived with purchase of dinner entree; please tip the musicians.
 
 
FRIDAYS
 
Gypsy Cafe presents Readings by Rebecca every Friday 6PM-11PM.
 
Rebecca is a gifted Intuitive who offers Tarot card readings for fun and insight. 15-minute readings are $15, 30-minute readings are $25. Al though many guests prefer to offer an additional gratuity to Rebecca, this is not expected.
 
Please make an appointment for a reading when you make your dinner reservation.
 

SATURDAYS

The first and third Saturday each month, Gypsy welcomes Don Aliquo and friends playing Jazz classics and requests. We offer the event for our Dinner guests. $10 cover waived with purchase of dinner entree. Dates are subject to change; please check our main page for details.
 
Gypsy is also proud to present bellydancers from the Khafif Dance and Music Troupe on certain Saturdays. Please check our main page for details. The dancers do accept tips.
