Sunday Brunch NOON-3PM
Sunday Dinner 4PM-9PM
Sunday Brunch
Sunday is our day to relax. Chef Jim puts together a great themed brunch that changes every week. Past brunches include The Star Wars Brunch, the Quentin Tarantino Brunch, the Kurt Vonnegut Brunch, and lots of brunches devoted to his favorite topics--videogames, comics, and Mystery Science Theatre!
Jim has fond memories of his first job as a diner cook, and he still loves breakfast dishes. His themes come from a big imagination and an obsession with just about any topic with Nerd appeal. We can do a custom brunch for your group as well--we are happy to put together a fundraising or awareness brunch promoting your group! Contact us: gypsy@gypsycafe.net
The Brunch menu is ala carte and features pasta and salads as well as breakfast egg dishes.

SAMPLE BRUNCH:
Sunday Brunch Menu 2/15/2009
Famous Couples Brunch IV
(Gypsy’s a pretty non-traditional place, so today we toast some non-traditional couples in honor of Valentine’s Day, which was yesterday, in case you missed it.)
Stewie and Brian Brunch: The most unconventional of couples—a megalomaniacal baby and a talking alcoholic dog. Two eggs MTO, (no poached) bacon, homefries, and a slice of French Toast. $8
Princess Peach and Mario’s Mushroom Scramble: I’m sorry, Mario, but your brunch is in another castle…will he ever find his princess? .Portabella mushroom, roasted garlic, and onion sautéed, scrambled with three eggs, and topped with blue cheese. With homefries. $8
Pepe Le Pew and Miss Kitty’s French Toast: Another long sufferer is M. Pepe. (to be read in a bad French accent:) Oui, oui—this, how you say—French Toast—is Magnifique! Cinnamon-raisin French toast finished with toasted coconut and a touch of whipped cream. With honey butter and bacon or homefries. $7.50
R2D2 and C3PO Omelette: So an Astro-mech droid and a Protocol droid team up to help the Rebel Alliance and save the universe from the Empire. Who would have thunk it? Baby spinach, tomato, Kalamata olive, and feta
omelette with homefries. $7
Marge and Homer-fries: D’oh-licious! In the traditional—but perhaps outdated—category, Marge and Homer continue the TV tradition of irascible, irrational husband paired with patient, long-suffering wife a la Alice and Ralph Kramden, or closer even, the couple below...Ham, onion, and roasted garlic grilled with homefries and topped with two eggs MTO (no poached) and provolone cheese. $8
Wilma and Fred Flintstone Frittata: It’s prehistorically delicious! (Sorry—no bronto burgers or giant slabs of takeout ribs….) Asparagus and scallion three-egg open-faced omelette topped with Asiago. With homefries. $7
Mary Jane and Peter Parker Pesto Primavera: Sadly, after 20 years of marriage, MJ and Peter were actually split up recently in SpiderMan comics. Even superhero marriages have their rough spots. Sautéed vegetables tossed with spinach-walnut pesto and linguine. With petite salad. $9
Mickey and Mallory Knox Gnocchi: This one’s a killer…remember this super scary movie (Natural Born Killers)about the couple of serial killers who were just made for each other??? Eeks. Homemade sweet potato and pumpkin gnocchi in brown butter with crispy sage. With petite salad. $9
Chuck Norris’ Chicken Salad: Chuck Norris doesn’t need a partner. He’s got his fists. Date, apricot, and pear-stuffed chicken breast over romaine with tomato and creamy Turkish Feta dressing. $7.50
Sides and Apps:
Side of Bacon or French Toast Slice $1.50
Gypsy House Salad petite: $1.50; regular: $3

Sunday Dinner
Sunday dinner is our time to really be part of the neighborhood. Sunday dinner at Gypsy is a laid-back affair with a menu that is a little different each week. We welcome our neighbors with reduced prices, and a special Prix Fixe Menu in addition to our Ala Carte Menu.
The Prix Fixe features a choice of appetizer course, a salad or soup course, and a choice of entree course. The choice of entree always includes at least one vegetarian option. Beverages are included, and the menu is priced around $20 per person.
The Sunday Ala Carte Menu is a condensed version of our full dinner menu, with some special homestyle surprises. (Bacon-wrapped meatloaf, anyone?). Also, take time to visit with Rebecca, our resident Tarot reader, for insight, for advice, or just for fun!
NOTE: Perish the thought that such people exist, but if you're--say--not so much a Sunday sports--get some of your pals together for nice night out for dinner and a reading!
